I recently made this backup journal on Dreamwidth and was relieved to find out that my layouts work there too. I'm being told that you can also use them on InsaneJournal. All you need to do is put Flexible Squares on your journal with one of the following tutorials:

There are a few things not yet looking the way they should, so I'll revise my layouts (which will probably be as slow as the current revision, FML) to make them work 100% on Dreamwidth.

If you want to get rid of the 2 extra links in the navheader, here's the CSS for that:

ul.navheader li + li + li + li {
display: none;

ul.navheader li + li + li + li + li + li {
display: inline;

It's possible that you'll need to change inline to something else. Look for ul.navheader li in the layout and to what display is set there.

Edit: This code does the same thing in a neater way:

Most of them made for [livejournal.com profile] dwstills. I made #10 and the original of #20 under time pressure and didn't like how they turned out, so I made improved versions. Just in case someone saw #10 on [livejournal.com profile] dwstills and liked it, I'm still posting it. The original of #20 isn't different enough from the second version (it was askew, so I rotated it a bit) to warrant posting the former, I think.

Most of them made for [livejournal.com profile] dwstills. #4 is in the style of Muse's Absolution cover, because Davros in the handmines field reminded me of it.

So apparently I totally forgot to post 1-8. Better late then never. 9-19 were made for [livejournal.com profile] dwstills. The Gallifreyan in #15 is from circulargallifreyanrequests.

I haven't made any progress in fixing my old layouts and I've just noticed I need to fix profile layouts too (because the cellpadding attribute isn't supported in HTML5), but I've finally finished a layout again!

I put my monthly layouts on hold, because my productivity was terribly low again and I was getting stressed too out trying to get things done. I'm still going to make layouts, but I can't tell the posting will resume. I'm still in the (unfortunately slow) process of trying to fix the layouts I already posted (because LJ changed some things; you can recognize the fixed layouts by the ETA in bold) and don't know if I'll finish that before posting new layouts or if I'll alternate between them.

Here’s the January layout, finally! Some more Sherlock wallpaper love. And I used the superhelpful innovation of border-image for the first time.

Border-image is supposed to work from IE11 on, but in my IE11 it didn’t. Fuck it. Fuck it all and most of all Internet Explorer. This layout was supposed to be posted in January and I’m determined to finally finish it, so there. Anyway, in a future IE version border-image will work.
