S2 Promopic Sherlock & John layout & matching profile layout
Oh no, my monthly layout is a bit late. And this one wasn't even supposed to be the one I post for April. But then I started this Sherlock layout and wanted it to be the next I post (I'm soooo changeable!). ...The original April layout wouldn't be mad that I made it wait because of a Sherlock layout, right?

| preview | ![]() Click here for live preview, then click on the layout's icon. |
| layout info | Based on Flexible Squares. Works for all account types. Tested in Firefox 12, Google Chrome 18 and Internet Explorer 9. This is a layout's width isn't flexible. |
| how to implement this layout | Go to the Customize Journal page. Make sure Style System is S2. Choose the Flexible Squares layout. Go to Custom CSS » Use layout's stylesheet(s): No » Use layout's stylesheet(s) when including custom external stylesheet: No » Use external stylesheets: No insert custom stylesheet |
| Profile Layout Go to Edit Profile and insert the code into the Bio part. To copy the code, click in the text area and then press Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C. This code is for a layout with only one text column. If you want to change the link color, put a font tag with a different color in your link. Like so: <a href="URL"><font color="#BFB4A2">LINK TEXT</font></a> |
You can add columns by inserting between the first </tr> and the </td> before it.You don't have to use the lj-raw tags. With them you can only make line breaks/new paragraphs with <br> and <p>. Without the lj-raw tags you can also create line breaks and new paragraphs just by hitting the enter key. | |

Great job! I have one question though, would it be possible to have the small column with tags, calendar etc. on the right side? I think Flexible squares allow you to do that, but won't it screw your layout?

But please if it's too much work, don't mind my bitching and don't bother with me. I would feel bad if I ended up using different layout after all. I asked because I thought that it may be easy to switch ;)

Dammit, the whole CSS is too long for the comment. Even only the part where I changed things is still too long, so you get it in 2 parts:

And that was the part where I changed stuff. The rest (it starts with /* ------- ENTRIES & FRIENDS ------- */) you can copy from the CSS up in the entry.

Can your layouts be used in DW?

If you're asking if I mind: I don't. But if you're asking if it's possible: Sorry, I have no idea.

"User Info" obscures John's face. Is there a way to push that whole list up? I'd be fine with losing the red bar at the top of the page if that would make room.
Also, my calendar date is incorrect. It says "March 31". Is there a way to fix that?
Thanks again for the layout. It's beautiful.

ul.navheadera negative top margin like so:margin: -20px 0px 0px 0px;No idea how to fix a calendar or what's going on with it. Could it be the last time you posted? Because I'm seeing December 19.

But I have a problem, between entries there's always a huge gap. I didn't had this problem on my old journal (I had to delete it because of some problems) but this one seams to always have this problem when I use a customized code.
Could you help? If you can't it's okay. Thank you anyways.

Right now I'm using this layout of yours, but I have a small problem with it. On my Firefox the bottom one of the four side buttons (which on your preview picture is nicely above John) is on John's head, on IE about 3 of them is.
Also on all four Sherlock layouts I tried I have a gray box on top.
Did I do something wrong? If yes, do you know what?
Is there a chance we can fix this one so the buttons won't be on John? Because this is by far my favourite one, and I'd love to use it the way it is on your preview. :)
Thanks
Wynter
