The first 5 were made for iconthat's alphabet challenge and the rest of the alphabet for icontalking. I'm proud of this set, it's mostly meaningful moments or characterwise representative.

A mix of some more old icons and new ones. As apparently the old ones weren't posted anywhere yet (judging by them not being uploaded), I could make a few improvements on some. It was interesting to look back at that time (also '07-09) and how my iconmaking was changing to how I do things now: Keeping layers that aren't visible in the finished icon, but are an important step; naming layers after what I've done with them (Holy shit, how had I not done that before?!) or after the maker if it's a texture; erasing oversharpened parts from sharpened layers and showing the unsharpened layer underneath; using Shadows/Highlights instead of Curves.

I even made a more complex icon (#4) back then! #7 is made from a layout I'd made for my old blog. #10: Hey, Sydney was standing in front of monitors, so of course I had to photoshop the cage porn from Lost 3x06 in. #14 (made 3 years ago) was the first Alias icon I had made in 9 years. Only last month did I properly pick up making Alias icons again. And I finally found a way to make a decent icon of Syd's chain swing (see #22), a moment I'd been wanting to icon since forever. \o/

Somehow I've forgotten to post a fuckload of Alias icons & 3 headers from 2007-09! So here are some old icons (except the ones that made me cringe) showing mostly Syd, a sizeable portion is of Weiss, 3x Jennifer Garner.
Ah yes, my frantic attempt to make icons from ALL the Weiss caps, even if I was out of creativity. #7, 8 & 49 use textures from Muse's The Resistance booklet. #57 has lyrics from the Wir sind Helden song Hände hoch (it means "hands up"), on #76 is my attempt at a ligature of "Julia" and "Sydney". And yes, I know I have an unhealthy obsession with tiny text.

I make an Alias layout and what do I do? Put a color with the code #474747 in, of course. I just couldn't resist! That's why the layout is so gray. This layout was actually started, because I saw that an Alias icon community had no layout, it was completely CSSless. But then I had abandoned the layout, because that's what I used to do.

In general news: New and improved layout table \o/ with all the info I wanted to give you for ages, but for whatever reason hadn't.

What we have here specifically is a layout with my favorite Alias character (My god, it’s reeeally time for a rewatch!). I started this layout ages ago, this one's older than my other old layouts, because it didn't even start out as an LJ layout, it's from when I still had a blog.
